Found Photos

I live in silent photographs
Found down amongst gutters
Silent moments of a strangers life
Captured by the clicking shutter

Lying on my back
Upon the sandy ground
My head begins to sink
While the water rushes 'round

The girls with empty hazel eyes
Looking solemn at the screen
Staring back while I am watching
Watching silent blissfully

I once had a twin brother
He was eighty six years old
He died three years ahead of me
Sleeping outside in the winter cold

While in the middle of the party
Down dancing with the masses
There was a girl in glitter, shining
Wearing aviator / police glasses

In life I am a moment
And millimeter smiles
Or sometimes just a memory
In marker, words on bathroom tile
